Find Copies of Your Photo Online

Run a safer reverse-image search and keep a clear list of matching pages and removal requests.

Find Copies of Your Photo Online

No single tool can prove it found every photo of you on the internet. Google Lens can find visually similar images and pages that contain an image or a similar image. Treat the result as a lead list that you verify yourself.

What this helps you do

Search one photo, save confirmed matches, and prepare removal requests without giving an AI agent permission to act on every result.

Before you start

Use a photo you own and have permission to upload. Do not upload another person's face without their consent. Create a private document for URLs and screenshots.

Terms to know

  • Reverse-image search: a search that starts from an image rather than words.
  • Visual match: an image that looks similar but may not show the same person.
  • Removal request: a request to a site owner, platform, or search engine to remove content or a result.

Step-by-step

  1. Follow Google's official Search with an image steps.
  2. Upload a clear image or paste its image URL into Google Lens.
  3. Open each candidate page and confirm the photo, person, and context yourself.
  4. Record the page URL, image URL, site owner, screenshot date, and whether you control the account.
  5. Ask the site owner or platform to remove the original page when appropriate. Use Google's personal-content removal help for eligible search results.

Create a verification table for these reverse-image-search results. Columns:
candidate URL, same photo, same person, context, site owner, contact or report
route, evidence saved, and next action. Mark every identity decision "human
review required." Do not contact anyone or submit a removal request.

Things to know

Similar faces, cropped images, mirrors, filters, and reposts create false matches. Removing a Google result does not necessarily remove the page that hosts the image. Save evidence before requesting removal.

If something goes wrong

If results are weak, try a different photo, a tighter crop, or the image URL. If a result involves harassment, impersonation, intimate imagery, or immediate risk, use the platform's safety channel and appropriate local support.

Final check

You pass when every saved row has been opened and verified by a person and every removal path points to the host or platform that controls the content.
